Carol Anne
The book “Divine Healing: Powerful Stories of Transformation with our Higher Selves and Beings of Light” is the second book published by Carol Anne Halstead. The first book is called “Modern Ascension: Stories From the Spiritual Paths of High Initiates”, published in June 2020. Both books are compilations. In “Divine Healing”, there are 10 contributors and in “Modern Ascension”, there are 13 storytellers.
Inspired by her Higher Self, she took on the complex task of guiding a large group, both times, through the entire publication process. The Higher Selves of each of the participants have been involved in the creation of both books.
She has a healing practice called “Ascension Dowsing”. She works with Jan Thompson to create high vibration, clear spaces in homes, classrooms, meditation rooms, and healing spaces that support change and growth at a high level for the inhabitants.
“We can never see the whole picture. We can only follow the breadcrumbs and do what brings joy to us and others. While following my early dream to become a Nurse, I was inspired to become a Nursing teacher. I worked within groups as a Nurse, as a faculty member, and as a clinical and classroom teacher. Working within a medical model provided the structure for all these activities. I experienced an awakening and a paradigm shift when my predictable world was challenged by witnessing the irrefutable evidence of healing through energy work which I began to study in the mid-eighties at a time when there was a lot of resistance to these ideas. Fortunately, there are many wonderful options for healing today, some of which you will read about in “Divine Healing”.
Along the way, there was the early discovery of the inklings of a deeper aspect of my being, beyond my understanding. Exploring spirituality led me down many roads until I landed on the discovery of Ascension as the spiritual purpose of our humanity on earth. It has always been so.
The books about Ascension and healing have been our way of sharing our stories. We are all on the path of Ascension, some as healers. It is a joy to share this spiritual journey with these gifted healers.”

Greetings! I’m Jan Thompson, and my journey through life has been a fascinating blend of education, spirituality, and a profound connection with the energies that shape our existence.
With a rich background spanning 19 years in teaching, I’ve worn many hats—classroom teacher, resource teacher, and administrator—in elementary schools in Calgary. A pivotal shift led me to the Calgary Public Library, where I spent 14 years utilizing my teaching skills to empower others through Early Literacy and parenting classes, and serving as a reference assistant.
Behind the scenes, I was a “closet spiritual seeker,” delving into the realms of Reflexology, Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, Colour Therapy, and the mystical arts of working with crystals and dowsing rods. It was during this introspective journey that in 2013 I discovered Verna and Waireti, their transformative AlphaImaging website, and the portal in New Zealand. It was a turning point in my life.
Through this encounter, I realized I was on an ascension path—an awakening that we all, consciously or not, traverse. Slowly, I began to unveil my spiritual side, embracing my interest in energy healing and ascension.
